Owner-Occupied Credit

The Owner-Occupied Credit is a real estate tax reduction available to the homeowner’s principal residence.

To receive the reduction, you must own and occupy your home as your principal place of residence on January 1st of the year you file for the reduction. A homeowner is entitled to this reduction on only one home. If you own multiple homes in Ohio and/or in several different states, only one of your homes is eligible.

To apply, file the Owner-Occupied Credit form (DTE105C) with the Auditor on or before December 31st of the year the application is for.
